COVID-19 Resources

As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread in Delaware, the City of Lewes is in regular contact with our leaders in the State of Delaware and at Beebe Healthcare. We are working hard to contain the spread of the virus, prepare for an outbreak in the Lewes area, and continue delivering the basic city services you expect from us.

Social Distancing

Social distancing is critical to slowing the spread of the virus. Stay home when you can. When you must go out, make sure to keep a minimum of six feet of distance between you and others. Wash your hands regularly, and do not touch your face. Most importantly, if you are sick, please stay in and away from others.

How to get tested

Testing for COVID-19 is available only with a provider referral. Beebe has testing sites throughout Sussex County. If you believe you need to be tested, contact your healthcare provider, who will perform an assessment and, if needed, order a test. The provider will send the order to Beebe, which will then contact the patient to schedule the test. If you do not have a healthcare provider, call Beebe’s Coronavirus Screening Line at 302-645-3200. Please do not show up at the emergency room unless you need emergency care.
