The Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission is currently inputing the survey data and feedback about outdoor recreation within the City of Lewes. The city leases 66 acres of land from the State of Delaware now known as Great Marsh Park. The park currently serves as the home to the dog park managed by the non-profit organization Lewes Unleased.
The parks and recreation commission goal is to create a master plan for Great Marsh Park with the help and feedback from the Lewes community. The master plan will help guide future requests and/or considerations for outdoor recreation that may come before the parks and recreation commission.
The second of three public workshops on the Great Marsh Park master plan was held on august 4, 2022 at which time a preliminary concept plan was presented and discussed. We had excellent attendance and community discussion and feedback. Below is a link to the power point presentation.
